Natural Cure for A Sore Throat

A sore throat or throat infection is caused when bacteria or virus infects the pharynx. This causes redness which can be painful, especially while swallowing. It is caused by the same virus which causes cold, croup and flu.  Throat infection is communicable; it can travel from one person to another through coughing and sneezing.  Common symptoms of a sore throat are-

The symptoms of a sore throat generally go away within three to seven days.   • Leukaemia

  • With anaemia

  • Who take anti-thyroid medicines

Home remedies can be of great help in the treatment of this disease. Not only these remedies are effective but are also pocket-friendly. Some of these remedies are-

  • Garlic

Get a garlic clove and cut the same in half. Now, place one clove on each cheek. Do not bite it instead just suck it.

  • Baking soda

Take a cup of warm water and add in it half teaspoon salt and half teaspoon of baking soda. Now, gargle with this solution. For the best results try this remedy thrice a day.

  • Gargle Sage

In one cup of boiling water add two teaspoons of dried or fresh sage leaves. After steeping for some time, strain and add some salt. Now, gargle as and when needed.

  • MarshmallowRoot

You must learn that how to get rid of a sore throat with marshmallow root? Take one tablespoon of the dried marshmallow root in a mug. Then, boil some water and pour over it. Cover the mug and let it steep for half an hour or so. Finally, strain and drink the liquid.

  • Chamomile Tea

Chamomile is a wonderful herb. The components of chamomile work as natural pain-killer by killing bacteria. These help in relaxing the muscles. To make chamomile tea, boil some water and put it into a mug. Now, add the tea bag and let it steep for ten minutes. You can add som honey or lemon to it. Drink the tea when needed.

  • Apple Cider Vinegar

Due to anti-bacterial properties of apple cider vinegar, it is helpful for the treatment of a sore throat. Make a solution by adding one teaspoon each of honey and lemon juice and add them to a half glass of warm water. Now add a spoonful apple cider vinegar to it. Now drink this solution twice or thrice daily.

Make a gargle solution by mixing one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and one teaspoon of salt in a cup of warm water. Use this liquid to gargle a few times in a day.

These remedies are easy to use and quite effective to improve the painful condition.
